Local help for existing solar systems

Did Your Solar Company Go Out of Business?

If your original installer closed, entered bankruptcy, left Florida or stopped responding, Sundial can evaluate the equipment currently at your property and explain the practical next steps.

We service many solar systems installed by other companies—including production problems, monitoring failures, inverter faults, unfinished project issues and equipment upgrades.

You still have options

A closed installer does not automatically make the solar equipment unusable.

The company that sold or installed a system is only one part of the project. Panels, inverters, microinverters, batteries and monitoring equipment may have separate manufacturers and warranty terms. Loans, leases and power-purchase agreements may also be controlled by different companies.

Sundial begins by identifying who controls what, diagnosing the installed system and explaining which service paths are actually available.

Common Problems After a Solar Company Closes

PRODUCTION

System Not Producing or Underperforming

Evaluate inverter faults, failed microinverters, wiring, modules, electrical conditions and other causes of lost production.

MONITORING

Monitoring App Offline

Determine whether the problem involves account access, internet communication, a gateway, discontinued equipment or a larger system fault.

UNFINISHED WORK

Permits, Inspection or PTO Problems

Review available permits, inspection status, utility records and installed work before deciding whether Sundial can accept a new completion scope.

Monitoring shows the symptom

Diagnostics identify the cause.

A monitoring alert can help locate an affected device, but it does not replace system testing. Sundial uses monitoring information, equipment data and onsite diagnostics to determine whether the problem involves a microinverter, communication, wiring, module or another system condition.

Local accountability matters

Bigger Does Not Always Mean More Dependable

Over the years, some homeowners chose a large national installer because they worried that a smaller local solar company might not be available in the future. Several of those same customers have since contacted Sundial after their original installer closed, left the market or stopped providing service. Some have told us they regret not choosing Sundial in the first place.

Company size alone does not guarantee long-term support. Sundial is a family-owned, Florida State-Certified Solar Contractor based in Ormond Beach. We have built our business around responsible installations, practical service and continuing to answer the phone when customers need help.

How Sundial Evaluates an Existing System

01

Gather Available Information

Original contracts, financing or lease documents, permits, PTO records, model numbers, monitoring details and recent utility bills provide useful context.

02

Identify and Diagnose

Sundial reviews the installed architecture and determines whether the immediate problem is production, communications, equipment, electrical or project status.

03

Define a New Scope

We explain available repairs, monitoring paths, equipment upgrades or other work that Sundial can responsibly perform.

Companies Customers May Recognize

Central Florida homeowners have contacted service companies after closures, bankruptcies, acquisitions and market exits involving names such as Titan Solar Power, ADT Solar, Lumio and Atlantic Key Energy, Pink Energy/PowerHome Solar, Vision Solar and legacy SunPower.

These circumstances are not identical. Some businesses closed entirely, while others sold assets, changed ownership or exited residential solar. A company name on this page does not mean every former customer lacks support.

Dedicated SunPower help: Owners of legacy SunPower systems can visit Sundial’s SunPower-to-Enphase monitoring and equipment upgrades page for monitoring transitions, SolarBridge conversions and equipment-repowering options.

What Sundial Does Not Automatically Assume

Hiring Sundial does not transfer another company’s workmanship warranty, unfinished contract, loan, lease, PPA, legal obligations, manufacturer approval or proprietary account access. We provide a new evaluation and define the work Sundial can perform from that point forward.

Solar Installer Out of Business FAQs

Can Sundial service panels installed by another company?

Yes. Sundial evaluates and services many systems installed by other companies. Available work depends on the equipment, condition, documentation, safe access, parts and manufacturer support.

Does my equipment warranty disappear when the installer closes?

Not necessarily. Manufacturer equipment warranties may be separate from the installer’s workmanship warranty. Coverage depends on the product, registration, documentation and applicable terms.

Do I still have to pay my solar loan or lease?

An installer’s closure does not automatically cancel a loan, lease or PPA. Contact the current lender or account owner and review the agreement. Sundial does not provide legal or financial advice or control those contracts.

Can Sundial finish an incomplete solar installation?

Possibly. Sundial must first review permits, inspections, utility status, equipment, financing and the work already completed before determining whether it can accept a new scope.

Where does Sundial provide existing-system service?

Sundial is based in Ormond Beach and primarily serves the greater Daytona Beach area. Our broader region extends from St. Augustine south to Titusville and west to Orlando, with work considered throughout the surrounding area based on scope.
