Increase Your Swimming Months

For about 7 to 8 months out of the year, swimming pool weather conditions are perfect in the Daytona Beach and Volusia County area. After that, cooler temperatures, especially at night, make it hard to maintain your pool water at a comfortable temperature. So you want to swim comfortably all year round? You can add a gas heater or electric heat pump to your system, but these are proven to be costly to maintain. No need to fret because Sundial Solar has the perfect pool heating solution for you!

Solar Pool Heating Installation

Installing a solar pool heater is an effective way to capture the energy from the sun’s powerful rays to heat your swimming pool water. When done by an experienced team, these systems are relatively easy to install. The best part is they involve very little cost after the initial set-up.

How a Solar Pool Heater Works

These are usually set up in one of two ways, either a rooftop system or on a specially built panel at ground level. Most prefer the rooftop system is because you won’t have a problem with trees blocking the sun’s rays. A rooftop system simply won’t get in the way of anything.

A solar pool heater collects the sun’s rays a little differently than solar panels that are used for producing energy. The system consists of black tubes winding in a pattern and are attached to a black mat base. During the day when sunlight hits the adjoining panels the tubes get extremely hot. Water flows through these tubes and the heat from them gets transferred into the water. The heated water flows through the system and back to the swimming pool to be emptied back into the main body of water.

Our products don’t require any special equipment to be purchased in order to be operable. All you need to purchase to make them work is the section of mats with the tubes attached and some plumbing parts. The heating plumbing attaches to the main filtration system so your pool’s existing pump will move water through the solar heater.

These solar heaters work great on both in-ground and above ground swimming pools too. Control devices may be added to turn them on and off automatically on days with an overabundance of available sunshine.
